Study of a Sewing Line of an RMG Factory and Productivity Improvement through Line Balancing

The RMG industries play a major role in the economic development of Bangladesh. However, current business environment, like every other country all over world, this sector also faces some troubles related to resource constraints time, cost, materials, etc. So, ensure sustainability and competitiveness Bangladesh, productivity improvement becomes key factor. For reason, research aims measure improve performances sewing line selected industry. This study uses time study, expert opinions, line-balancing method. finds that before efficiency, total idle number workstations is 43.04%, 9.401 minutes per cycle, 19 respectively. But after become 81.78%, 1.6087 10 Thus, findings prove implementing strategy section can boost productivity. be useful for future implementation.
